چکیده
Soil infiltration is a very important concept in hydrology as well irrigation, which plays vital role estimating surface runoff and groundwater recharge. It complicated process that varies with numerous factors. Accurate estimation of soil required for future many other purposes. To estimate the process, there are models. The majority them have some presumptions, unique calculation method, limitations. purpose paper was to assess model’s performance similar hypothetical scenario involving infiltration. compared rate, incremental versus time three different models: Green-Ampt model (GA), Horton Modified (MGA) model. A spreadsheet used calculate model, HYDROL-INF (V 5.03) simulate two Among those models, MGA outperformed while GA produced greater rate than rainfall, insensible. study showed provides useful predictions, Since does not consider ponding conditions, it only applicable when effective rainfall intensity exceeds final capacity. Moreover, initial irrational because disregards rainfall. results this will assist selecting most accurate method agricultural

Green-Ampt infiltration model for sloping surfaces
[1] This work quantifies and explains the direct physical effects of slope angle on infiltration and runoff generation by extending the Green-Ampt equation onto sloping surfaces. A new extended solution using identical precipitation hydrographs was compared to the original formulation and then used to calculate the infiltration and runoff generation for different slope angles but for identical ...

plant cover is one of the most important factors affecting infiltration rate of water into the soil and decreasing runoff. distribution of plants in arid and semi-arid areas is almost patchy and form different patterns. one of the fascinating patterns is ring-shaped growth pattern. ring patterns of varying size are formed by clonally reproducing grasses, sedges and even shrubs growing in resour...

The process of infiltration is one of the most important components of the hydrological cycle. On the other hand, the direct measurement of infiltration process is difficult, time spending and expensive. Infiltration models play a main role in managing water resources. Therefore, different types of models with various degrees of complexity were developed to reach this aim. So, this research ca...
متن کاملResonances from AMPT
A multiphase transport (AMPT) model that includes both initial partonic and nal hadron rescattering effects in relativistic heavy ion collisions is brie y reviewed. Particular attention is given to the scattering processes in the hadronic phase in order to address resonances production in these collisions. As an example, phi meson production is discussed in detail through both its dikaon and di...
متن کاملAssessment of the important Factors on Gully Erosion in Arid and Semi-arid Region in Ilam Province
Infiltration is the process of water penetration from the ground surface into the soil and is an important process in the hydrological cycle by which surface runoff and groundwater recharge can be linked. Over the years, the importance of the infiltration process resulted in the development of several simplified analytical models for predicting infiltration. These infiltration models range from...
